south of canada

so currently i am in the states for this easter weekend on a shopping bus trip!
i go to the states maybe like three times a year;
either to las vegas, a location where dance (when i was in it) competitions used to be or just over the border for some casual shopping.
lately the money, as obviously noted, exchange has been very good - almost par! :D

i really enjoy doing my shopping in the states because there are more bargains, i find, and there is a better selection of clothes.
also, there's a less chance of other people having the same articles of clothing as i do.
i know, i know - it's stingy and a stupid reason
"why do you care if that girl has the same outfit as you, etc, etc"
but i mean if i am looking for something for awhile, or spend maybe $30 - $50 on it - i really don't want someone else to have a carbon copy of it ):
makeup in the states is also cheaper than in walmart in canada!! (:

it's a 2 night trip to oregon (YUM. no tax)
aaaand there is one night left ):
i haven't bought too much - i hope to buy a lot today!

i want vancouver to be tax-free ):

just a quick update so no picture, i might edit this post later.

XO;
hmm. so after unpacking i realized i didn't quite buy as much as i thought i did
which is really depressing because i love shopping in the states and i really wanted to take advantage of no tax!
but oh well, i should save my american money for my trip in june with the famjam!

i bought mostly shirts
some summer ones, and others more dressy tank tops that can go under cardigans
i picked up a pair of chucks, strappy sandals x2 and heels.
i really wanted to find knee highs, but i guess that is out of season ):
and i also wanted to get a pair of dance/fashion sneakers (NIKE's or ADIDAS) - i always get one every trip X_X
but i must have economic willpower.
i can always ask for those sneakers for a birthday present or get them later on in the year since i'm not doing any dance right now ):

i wanted to buy pants, but i hate going jean shopping T_T
i always feel like i'm having a fat day - and no one likes to spend $30 - $50 on jeans that leave you feeling uncertain about your appearance.

we didn't get a chance to eat at the olive garden because:
a) we thought there wasn't one there even when my aunt kept saying there was
b) i wanted to do as much shopping as possible
c) i also wanted to save my money for eating towards shopping xD

- my favourite place to eat in the states is olive garden and tony roma's.
the service they give you at olive garden is superb!!
they are very nice and enthusiastic
smart - because it increases their tip by a buttload
(: but aside from the service the food is delectable!
OBOI just thinking about it makes my mouth water :3

"no miley, it's not a party in the usa."
